We were in Cairo ICT 08 !!

Cairo ICT is a great exhibition that is held each year at the Cairo International Conference Center where huge companies participate to present their new products and ideas, visitors exceed 30,000 every year including a number of ministers and important businessmen.

This year, Cairo ICT was held from 24 till 27 Feb. Microsoft was present, along with Sun MicroSystems , Nokia, HTC, Assus and many many more (350 exhibitors).

BoOoGy was lucky enough to participate in this year's Cairo ICT !!!

We were chosen (along with 39 other groups) to display our project idea there, this was through a competition we joined earlier called MIE (Made In Egypt) and they chose the best 40 projects all over Egypt to participate in that great exhibition.

There we met a huge number of people who loved our project idea, and wished BoOoGy was done already to buy it!

Also a number of journalists were grabbed by the idea and made interviews with us asking about the project details and what do we expect to do at the end. Later we appeared in "Al-Masaa" journal!!!

People's comments on our project were motivating, they couldn't believe that such project can be done and that they can buy a small thing that can guide them in their car and never get lost anymore, they loved BoOoGy .

By the end of the last day, we all said to each other: "We must finish it, and finish it well", because people are waiting for our BoOoGy to come out to life. And by Allah's help we will.

BoOoGy .. The GPS car Navigator

The story:

Never traveled to Cairo, Alexandria or any large city?? Well, have you ever tried to go somewhere without knowing exactly how to get there? Then you’ve probably faced the problem where are talking about here. YOU GET LOST!!

So …

We, a team from Alexandria University, are developing a system as our graduation project that can solve this problem for you. It’s called “BoOoGy”.

BoOoGy is a portable system that works in your car, it can detect your exact position using a GPS receiver, and guide you to get anywhere in Egypt with a simple display and clear Arabic voice.

Here, we will post all our news, videos and pictures to keep you updated with our progress and share our success at the end.

Please don’t hesitate in sharing your thoughts and comments about anything and we would be glad to take all your ideas into consideration.
